  • The Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) Student Handbook comprises of procedures and information for students enrolled in the MLT courses and program. 

  • The MLT program brochure details the program's curriculum, career opportunities, and admission requirements. 


  • To apply for a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program, you'll need to submit an online application for MLT admission with transcripts of completed courses.

 

Additional Program Requirements

Immunizations

The Texas Department of Health Administrative Code requires that students enrolled in health-related courses, which will involve direct patient contact, meet the Department’s requirements for immunization. This includes a complete series of Hepatitis B vaccine prior to the start of direct patient care. Initial, one month later, 5 months after the second immunization or show serologic confirmation of immunity. Students interested in the MLT program should begin their immunizations as soon as possible.

 

Criminal Background Checks

Students must meet all clinical agency requirements including negative drug screens, criminal background history that is clear, and immunization.
